best multifunction color laser printer 2015

I have undergone recent needs for technology purchasing (car, DVD player, printer). 99.5% or what we do is simple printing and using it as a copier. I have not done much scanning with it or used any really advanced features. I use it with Mavericks and even got it to work for basic features with OSX 10.4.11 by using printer software for an earlier Brother model. Any recommendations on a laser multifunction that can SCAN in a MAC? Scan to email, etc? Please help thank you!! Set it up, spent HOURS, and the SCANNER does not work in mac!!!
